Privacy and data protection

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how SG Hub handles information related to accounts, online tools, temporary files, analytics, advertising, communications and external services.

Last updated: August 3, 2026.

Key summary

SG Hub does not sell users' personal information.

Some tools process files locally in the browser, while others require temporary server storage and processing.

Files uploaded for server processing are used to perform the requested operation and should not be treated as permanent storage.

SG Hub's first-party measurement does not create a persistent visitor cookie or store an identifier intended to recognize the same person across future visits.

Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics and Google AdSense may process technical information according to their own terms, the user's location and the consent options available.

1. Controller and scope

This Privacy Policy explains how SG Hub collects, uses, stores and protects information when a person visits the website, creates an account, uses a tool, downloads a resource, makes a donation or contacts us through a form.

SG Hub is a digital project developed by Santiago Gretter Software Studio from Montevideo, Uruguay. Privacy-related inquiries may be submitted through the contact page or by email using the address shown at the end of this policy.

This policy applies to the main SG Hub website, its Spanish and English versions, and the tools, resources, directories, templates, articles and features directly connected to the platform.

2. Information we may collect

The information collected depends on how each user interacts with SG Hub. Not every category of data is collected during every visit.

  • Account data: name, email address, internal identifiers, registration date, account status and information needed to sign in.
  • Technical and browsing data: visited page, page title, language, approximate country, device category, browser, operating system, general referral origin, date and time, interaction events and technical errors. SG Hub's first-party analytics does not store a persistent visitor identifier, city, full user agent or complete referral URL.
  • Tool-related data: file name, size, type and extension; selected tool; processing options; progress, status and result of the job.
  • Contact data: name, email address, subject and content of messages sent through forms or email.
  • Market and resource activity: downloads, favorites, views, interactions and resources consulted.
  • Donation-related data: events indicating that the support link was used. Payment details are processed directly by the external platform and SG Hub does not receive full card or payment information.
  • Any information voluntarily provided by the user through forms, support requests, error reports or communications.

3. Accounts and authentication

Some SG Hub features require a free account. Account data is used to authenticate users, protect access to tools, associate jobs and downloads with the correct person, prevent abuse and provide personal features.

Passwords should not be stored in readable form. SG Hub uses authentication and session mechanisms to validate access, although no Internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for keeping their credentials confidential and should report any unauthorized access or suspicious activity.

4. Files processed by SG Hub tools

SG Hub tools may operate in two different ways depending on the technology required by each function.

Some tools process files directly inside the user's browser. In those cases, the file may remain on the device and does not need to be uploaded to SG Hub servers.

Other tools, especially certain conversions, OCR processes and functions requiring specialized engines, temporarily send the file to SG Hub processing infrastructure.

When a file is processed on the server, it may be stored temporarily in cloud storage, associated with a processing job and downloaded by the components required to complete the requested operation.

Files are not used for advertising, commercial profiling, training SG Hub proprietary models or sale to third parties. They are used to execute the requested tool, provide the downloadable result, prevent abuse and investigate technical issues.

Users must not upload illegal or malicious files, confidential files without authorization, or documents containing third-party personal data unless they have a legitimate basis or permission to process them.

5. File retention and deletion

Original files and generated results processed on the server are retained for a limited period so the job can be completed and the result downloaded.

The exact retention period may vary depending on the tool, file size, technical needs, service configuration and the current retention policy. SG Hub generally aims to remove temporary files automatically after the configured operational period ends.

Technical records associated with a job, such as identifier, tool, status, size, errors and dates, may be retained longer for security, metrics, support, auditing and abuse prevention.

Users should download the result when it becomes available and keep their own copy. SG Hub is not a permanent file storage or backup service.

6. How we use information

  • Provide, maintain and improve SG Hub tools and services.
  • Create and manage user accounts.
  • Process files and generate downloadable results.
  • Display job progress and status.
  • Respond to inquiries, support requests and error reports.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, malicious automation and activities that affect security.
  • Measure performance, usage, downloads and general operation.
  • Understand which tools, articles and resources are useful.
  • Maintain technical records and troubleshoot issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations and valid requests from authorities when applicable.
  • Display advertising and measure its performance when AdSense or other advertising services are enabled.

7. Cookies, consent and local storage

SG Hub may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, protect accounts and forms, manage consent, measure website usage and display advertising.

Strictly necessary cookies may be used for authentication, security, session maintenance and the technical operation of certain tools. These cookies are not used for advertising purposes.

SG Hub's first-party page-view analytics operates without creating a persistent visitor cookie and without assigning an identifier intended to recognize the same person across future visits.

SG Hub provides consent controls that allow users to separately accept, reject or manage optional analytics and advertising technologies. The choice is stored in the browser's local storage and can be changed later through the privacy settings button.

Google Analytics and Google AdSense use Consent Mode. Permissions related to analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization are initially set to denied and are updated according to the user's choice.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, SG Hub may also use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework when required for ad serving.

Users may also delete or block cookies through their browser settings. This may prevent certain sessions, preferences or features from working correctly.

8. Analytics and measurement

SG Hub uses first-party page-view measurement to understand the general operation of the website. This measurement may record the page path and title, language, approximate country, device category, browser, operating system, general referral origin and visit date.

SG Hub's first-party analytics does not create a persistent visitor cookie, does not assign a unique identifier to recognize future visits, and does not store the city, full user agent or complete referral URL.

SG Hub may also use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to measure aggregated page views, events, performance, devices, traffic sources and errors.

Google Analytics may process technical information according to its own policies and configuration. Its operation is linked to the consent management system and the Consent Mode signals available to the user.

These metrics are used to improve navigation, detect problems, evaluate tools, understand which resources are useful and maintain the overall operation of the platform.

9. Google AdSense and advertising

SG Hub may display advertisements provided by Google AdSense or other advertising providers.

Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, IP addresses and other technologies to serve, limit, personalize and measure ads, prevent fraud and generate reports.

Google may use information from websites and applications that use its services to provide, maintain and improve its products, measure advertising, protect against fraud and, where applicable, personalize content or ads.

SG Hub displays privacy controls that allow users to accept, reject or manage advertising and analytics options. In regions where Google requires a certified CMP for certain ads, a message provided by Google or another certified CMP may also be displayed.

Advertising signals are managed through Consent Mode, including ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization. Advertising behavior may vary according to consent, region and Google policies.

Third-party advertisements must not be confused with download buttons, tool results, editorial recommendations or SG Hub products.

10. Service providers

SG Hub may use technology providers that process information solely to deliver their services, maintain the infrastructure or execute functions requested by the user.

  • Vercel: frontend hosting and delivery, analytics and website-related functions.
  • Render: execution of backend components and processes required by certain tools.
  • Cloudflare and Cloudflare R2: infrastructure, protection, delivery and temporary file or object storage.
  • MongoDB: storage of accounts, jobs, status information, basic page-view metrics and other structured data required to operate the platform.
  • Redis and BullMQ: temporary queue, job and processing coordination.
  • Google Analytics: website usage and performance measurement.
  • Google AdSense: ad serving, personalization and measurement when enabled.
  • Ko-fi: external handling of voluntary donations or support.
  • Email service providers: sending or receiving messages related to forms, accounts and support.
  • OpenAI or other artificial intelligence providers: only when a specific tool states that it uses AI and the user explicitly requests that function.

11. Artificial intelligence tools

Some SG Hub functions may use third-party artificial intelligence providers to summarize, analyze, organize or transform content.

When a tool uses artificial intelligence, the content required to perform the task may be sent temporarily to the provider to generate the requested result.

Users should not submit highly sensitive information, trade secrets, credentials, medical or financial data, or third-party personal data through an AI tool without first evaluating the risks and obtaining authorization.

AI-generated results may contain errors, omissions or incorrect interpretations and should be reviewed before use.

12. Forms and communications

When a person uses the contact form or sends an email, SG Hub may receive their name, email address, subject, message and technical data related to the submission.

This information is used to respond to the inquiry, investigate problems, provide support and maintain a reasonable communication record.

Users should not include passwords, full payment card numbers, complete identity documents or highly confidential information in forms or messages.

13. External links, affiliates and third-party services

SG Hub may include links to external websites, third-party tools, networks, services, resources, advertisements or affiliate links.

Once a user leaves SG Hub, data processing is governed by the privacy policy and terms of the external website. SG Hub does not continuously control the security, availability or privacy practices of third parties.

The presence of a link does not necessarily imply an absolute recommendation, warranty or commercial relationship.

14. Security

SG Hub applies reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect accounts, files, communications and infrastructure against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or misuse.

These measures may include HTTPS connections, authentication, authorization, temporary signed URLs, file size and format controls, job isolation, security logs and scheduled deletion.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. Users should avoid uploading information whose exposure could cause serious harm.

15. Data location and international transfers

Service providers used by SG Hub may operate servers or process information in countries different from the user's country of residence.

This may involve international data transfers. Each provider manages its infrastructure according to its own policies, contracts and protection mechanisms.

SG Hub aims to use recognized providers and limit processing to the information needed to provide each service.

16. User rights and requests

Depending on applicable law, users may request information about their data, access, correction, update, deletion, objection or restriction of certain processing activities.

Users may also request account closure or report a concern related to privacy, security or processed files.

To protect users, SG Hub may request reasonable information to verify identity before responding to a request related to an account or personal data.

Some records may be retained when necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse or maintain security.

17. Children

SG Hub is not specifically directed at children and does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from minors without the required authorization.

If a parent or guardian believes that a minor submitted personal data without authorization, they may contact SG Hub to request review and deletion.

18. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect new tools, providers, practices, legal requirements or changes in how SG Hub operates.

The update date will be shown near the top of the page. When a change is significant, SG Hub may communicate it through the website, the user account or a specific notice.
