SG SaaS Starter Lite is a free fullstack starter kit developed by Santiago Gretter Software Studio to accelerate the creation of SaaS products, admin dashboards, MVPs, CRMs, internal portals and management tools. It includes a modern frontend built with Next.js, React, TypeScript and TailwindCSS, plus a separate backend based on Node.js, Express, TypeScript, MongoDB, Mongoose and JWT authentication. The Lite edition focuses on a practical core: login and registration, protected routes, user management, admin/member roles, active/inactive statuses, search, filters, pagination, a basic dashboard, reusable UI components and demo data. It is designed for developers, freelancers and entrepreneurs who want to start from a functional architecture without adding advanced modules they may not need yet.
Step 1
Download the ZIP file.
Step 2
Extract the project on your computer.
Step 3
Install backend dependencies with npm install.
Step 4
Create backend/api/.env from backend/api/.env.example.
Step 5
Make sure MongoDB is running locally or configure MongoDB Atlas.
Step 6
Run npm run seed in the backend to load demo users.
Step 7
Start the backend with npm run dev.
Step 8
Install frontend dependencies with npm install.
Step 9
Create apps/admin/.env.local from apps/admin/.env.example.
Step 10
Start the frontend with npm run dev.

Sign in with admin@example.com and password 123456.
